Zarif tells parliament 5+1 committed to remove sanctions

Tehran, May 24, IRNA Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif reiterated that Iran has already established its right for enrichment during the process of negotiations with the 5+1, a parliamentarian said here on Sunday.

Kamaleddin Pirmoazzen said the foreign minister and his deputy Abbas Araqchi who were attending a closed-door session on the process and outcomes of the nuclear talks also noted that the six world powers have committed themselves to remove sanctions against Tehran.

He further told IRNA that the two foreign ministry officials stressed that Irans right for nuclear enrichment is now an established fact for the country while in the past few years the same countries involved in the negotiations now tried to close it down.

According to the parliamentarian, they also said Arak heavy water reactor, simultaneous removal of economic and financial sanctions against Iran, keeping Fordo with all its 1,444 centrifuges are among other commitments made by the 5+1 towards Iran.

He said that Zarif and Araqchi have stated that in return for these, Iran has promised not to pursue a nuclear bomb program.
