Iran-Brazil Chamber of Commerce to develop partnership with Isfahan

Isfahan, May 6, IRNA Joint Chamber of Commerce of Iran and Brazil said on Tuesday that it is willing to sign memorandum of understanding with Isfahan Chamber of Commerce.




Co-Chairman of Iran-Brazil Chamber of Commerce Romana de Wodniok said that Iran and Brazil established joint chamber of commerce in the year 2003 under the supervision of the Brazil Chamber of Commerce and is keen on expanding relations with Isfahan Chamber of Commerce.

'Signing of such an MOU will be the first step to develop economic cooperation between Brazil and Isfahan,' she said in a meeting with a member of the presiding board of the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce.

On the Iranian branch of the Joint Chamber of Commerce of Iran and Brazil, Ms. Wodniok said that the Brazilian side has presented a request for its establishment at the Iran Chamber and the initial permits have been available.

'The Iranian Embassy in Brazil approves of the activities of the Joint Chamber of Commerce of Iran and Brazil and I believe establishment of joint business committees is a factor leading to development of bilateral economic ties,' added Wodniok.

Meanwhile, the presiding board member of the Isfahan Chamber said for his part in the meeting that Isfahan province with 9,000 industrial units plays an important role in Iran's industrial cooperation with the other countries.

Qassem-Ali Jabbari said that Isfahan Chamber of Commerce is ready to sign MOU with the Joint Chamber of Commerce of Iran and Brazil and that Isfahan Chamber can play an effective role in expansion of Iran-Brazil trade ties.

The Iran-Brazil trade balance that is currently around two billion dollars is highly in favor of the Brazilian side, but familiarizing the Iranian merchants with the needs in Brazil can turn that balance in Iran's favor in near future.

Such products as sulfur, urea, petrochemical products and oil are that are needed in Brazil are highly produced in Iran.

The Federative Republic of Brazil is the largest and most populated Latin American country with its 188 million population.
