TEHRAN (Tasnim) � Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari condemned the Saudi regime for killing hundreds of innocent people in Yemen, saying that Riyadh invaded the Muslim country �shamelessly�.







�Saudi Arabia has shamelessly and rudely violated all the Islamic principles and attacked a Muslim country, a country which is opposed to hegemonic system and seeks independence,� Major General Jafari said in a speech here in Tehran on Monday.

He also emphasized that the �treacherous� Saudis are moving in line with the policies of the Zionist regime of Israel.

The top commander further pointed to the latest developments in Yemen, saying that it would be a very important and decisive event that the people can govern their own country.

He went on to say that God willing, the next wave of similar developments will lead to the collapse of the Saudi regime.

�Al Saudi (ruling family) is on the brink of collapse and regional and international analysts have already talked about it (the collapse). We are hopeful it will happen,� Major General Jafari said.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the commander urged the Iranian officials to set aside their reservations about Saudi Arabia and underlined that by invading Yemen, Riyadh has breached all those reservations.

On March 26, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies began to militarily interfere in Yemen's internal affairs by launching deadly air strikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to the fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

The Saudi-led coalition announced on April 21 that its military operation "Decisive Storm" has ended, but hours later, air strikes and ground fighting resumed.

According to the spokesman of the Yemeni Army, the Saudi-led war on the Arab country has killed 2,051 people, most of them civilians.
