Tehran, April 25, The Iran Project - Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare Ali Rabiei said on Saturday that�Government has stopped handing cash subsidies to high-income individuals, Tasnim News Agency reported.

He made the remarks in a meeting with�Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi on the occasion of Labor week in Qom.

Rabiei added that "We have been starting�elimination of high-income people from cash subsidies scheme before Nowrouz(Persian new year)�gradually."

Labor minister said�the number of individuals taken off the list is 200K.

Also,��Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi said elimination of wealthy�people from cash subsidies scheme needs courage and �they should not receive�cash payments from the government, stressing sources of emulation approval of cutting�the handout of�high-income individuals.

The move came after parliament(Majlis) required the Executive to stop the handout.
