Chinese atomic energy officials meet with AEOI deputy head

TEHRAN, Apr. 25 (MNA) Deputies of China Atomic Energy Authority (CAEA) and China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) met with AEOI officials today in Tehran to discuss various fields of cooperation.

During the meeting of Chinese officials with deputy head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) BehruzKamalvandi, various fields of cooperation on nuclear issues including the identification of specific factors and preparing required documents were discussed and reviewed.

Following the negotiations between China Atomic EnergyAuthority (CAEA), China National Nuclear Corporation(CNNC) and AEOI, a working group was formed to draft the required documents. The two sides also agreed on furthering mutual interactions on various levels within the next few months in order to advance the process of negotiations.

The meeting comes just as Iranian nuclear negotiating team on Friday sat for negotiations with representatives of three European countries, France, Germany and the UK followed by another meeting with the US Under-Secretary of State for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman and EU political director, Helga Schmid.

The new round of the talks between representatives of Iran and the 5+1 lasted three days in the Austrian city of Vienna with the aim of drafting a nuclear accord.

According to senior Iranian nuclear negotiator Abbas Araghchi, Iran and the 5+1 group have started drafting the text of mechanisms related to the removal of sanctions imposed on Tehran over its peaceful nuclear program.

The talks are scheduled to resume on the sidelines of the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty review conference in New York on April 27.
