TEHRAN (Tasnim) An Iranian delegation, led by Deputy Judiciary Chief Mohammad Baqer Olfat, arrived in Qatar on Saturday to attend the 13th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice.

From April 12 to 19, Qatar hosts the 13th UN Crime Congress in Doha which brings together government officials, policy-makers and experts to exchange their experiences and intensify international cooperation in tackling the threat of transnational organized crime.

As the international community continues to discuss the post-2015 development agenda, the 13th Crime Congress will consider how to integrate crime prevention and criminal justice into the wider UN agenda, according to the UN website.

The congress focuses on links between security, justice and the rule of law, and the attainment of a better, more equitable world.

Attending the Crime Congress will also be a whole host of experts in the field of crime prevention and criminal justice, with NGO leaders, academics, and journalists joining diplomats and other government officials at various sessions.
