Foreign ministry summons Turkish chargé d'affaires

Tehran, March 29, IRNA – Foreign Ministry on Sunday summoned Turkish chargé d'affaires following allegations made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an that Iran's meddling in regional developments.

Iran has voiced its protest over the issue and called for explicit explanation by the Turkish government to this end, Foreign Ministry spokeswomand Marzieh Afkham said. 


On the news released by some world media on Iran's official protest to Turkey, she said following the allegations made by Turkish president, the country's chargé d'affaires in the absence of its ambassador has been summoned to Iran's foreign ministry, she said. 

Deputy foreign minister for Asia-Pacific affairs has voiced Iran's protest to the allegations made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an and called for his explanations and a logical response, she said. 

Iran's approach in dealing with regional developments and its neighbors is based on peace, stability, cooperation and mutual respect, she said. 

'We believe that close cooperation between Iran and Turkey help attain such goal,' she said.
