Iran has right for peaceful nuclear industry, not atomic bomb - French FM

French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said that he wanted Iran and the P5+1 group of international mediators to reach a "robust agreement".

LAUSANNE (Sputnik) Iran could be permitted tohave its own nuclear program aslong asit is not aimed atbuilding nuclear weapons, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said Saturday.
"Iran has all the rights fora nuclear program, butas forthe atomic bomb no," Fabius said uponhis arrival fornuclear talks withTehran inthe Beau Rivage Palace Hotel inLausanne, Switzerland.

Fabius stressed he wanted Iran and the P5+1 group ofinternational mediators toreach a "robust agreement".
"I also insist onthe transparency ofthe control mechanism so that the agreed engagement is respected," the French foreign minister added.
A new roundof Iranian nuclear talks kicked offin Lausanne onThursday. The third day will see Fabius meeting withhis US and German counterparts, Secretary ofState John Kerry and Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

Tehran and the six major world powers France, Britain, China, Russia, the United States and Germany have untilthe end ofMarch tohammer outa framework deal, tobe followed bya comprehensive agreement toensure the peaceful nature ofTehran's nuclear activities due byJuly.
