Iran hopes to reach agreement with P5+1 group by end of March - FM Zarif

Iran hopes to reach an agreement during the ongoing round of nuclear talks by April, Mohammad Javad Zarif told Sputnik.

LAUSANNE (Sputnik) Iran and the P5+1 aim toreach a political agreement onTehrans nuclear program byend ofMarch, Iran's foreign minister told Sputnik onThursday.
"We are trying tobe able toresolve all the issues withinthe next few days and then get downto writing the exact details," Mohammad Javad Zarif said.

Zarif noted that the nuclear talks have advanced inthe "right direction," adding, however, that the sides still need toreach an agreement onall the aspects ofthe deal.

Iran and P5+1 countries, comprising Russia, China, the United States, the United Kingdom, France and Germany, have been trying toreach an agreement guaranteeing a peaceful nature ofthe Iranian nuclear program formore thana year.
On March 21, Zarif said the negotiating parties had resolved a number ofmajor issues that had obstructed a deal onIran's nuclear program, withTehran expressing willingness tocontinue the talks.
The new roundof talks onthe Iranian nuclear program betweenTehran and the P5+1 group started onThursday inLausanne, Switzerland. The talks are tolast untilMarch 29.

The final deal is expected tobe reached byJuly 2015.
