WASHINGTON (Sputnik)�� The United States will send more than�a dozen senior officials to�join US Secretary of�State John Kerry in�Switzerland ahead of�a deadline at�the end of�March in�the nuclear negotiations between�Iran and international powers, the US State Department said in�a statement.�Under Secretary of�State for�Political Affairs Wendy Sherman and the US negotiating team will travel on�March 25 to�Lausanne, Switzerland, where they will join Secretary of�State John Kerry to�meet with�Iranian officials,� the statement, issued on�Tuesday, said.
International talks between�the P5+1 group of�countries and Iran have been ongoing for�more than�a year, and are facing the end of�March deadline to�reach an agreement on�a political framework. The P5+1 group consists of�five permanent UN Security Council members�� China, Russia, the United States, the United Kingdom and France plus Germany.
