Tehran, Jan 30, IRNA Tehran Interim Friday Prayers Leader Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati called for further efforts to fight widespread corruption in the country.
Addressing congregational prayers on Friday, Jannati recommended 'If you want to fight corruption, you should remove corrupt people from the posts.'
Differences in political issues are natural but they should not lead to enmity, he added.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Jannati said that a corrupt person holding a position cannot rectify the situation.

Ayatollah Jannati warned about the appointment of those involved in 2009 presidential post-election unrests to governmental positions.

He also described Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei's letter to the European and North American youth as a valuable and admirable move, saying that the letter will leave its own impact.

'Western states are seeking to promote Islamophobia among their youth to introduce Islam as a religion fanning terrorism,' he said.

Ayatollah Jannati said that western countries are worried about spread of Islam in these countries.
