Tehran, Dec 10, IRNA Foreign Ministry Deputy for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amirabdollahian said the Persian Gulf countries have positively regarded Iran's role in campaign against the terrorist Daesh group.
Talking to IRNA, he noted that from the very beginning of recent developments the Iraqi government sought Iran's assistance.
He said Iran rendered every kind of support the international regulations permitted to Iraq to help it tackle the problems.

He also said Iran's policies in Iraq have been absolutely transparent and clear.

When Iran says it supports Iraqi anti-terrorism struggles, and when it says it is following strategic relations with Iraq, it indicates the fact that Tehran is engaged in no secret activities in the country, he added.

The Foreign Ministry official went on to highlight the fact that Iran is not interfering in Iraq's domestic affairs.

He said all of Iran's measures in Iraq to help fight terrorism have been due to the legitimate request of the neighboring country's government.

The fact that Iranian military attaches are present in Iraq and providing consultations and transferring their experiences to Iraqi armed forces to fight terrorism is an open fact which there is nothing to hide about, he stressed.

He said Iran is proud to announce in a loud voice that it strongly supports its friends and allies and will never allow terrorists to determine the future of the region.
