Pakistan's former president to visit Iran

Tehran, Nov 28, IRNA Pakistan's former President Asif Ali Zardari is scheduled to visit Iran from December (9-10).
He is slated to attend the 'World Against Violence and Extremism' International Conference in Tehran.
Iran's Consul General in Karachi Mehdi Sobhani told IRNA reporter on Friday that he has conveyed Iran's initiation message to Zardari.

During the meeting, Zardari praised Iran's efforts against extremism and accepted Iran's invitation, Sobhani added.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in his lecture in the UN General Assembly in 2013 proposed the 'World Against Violence and Extremism' (WAVE) proposal, which was approved overwhelmingly by the UN members.
