Completion of drilling of five wells in South Pars gas field

Bushehr, Oct 31, IRNA Drilling Manager of Petropars Company says drilling of five wells in Phase 19 of South Pars field has been completed and operations for 10 other wells in this phase will be finished by the next three months.
Mahmoud Javadian further remarked that drilling of five out of 10 wells will be completed by the next month and drilling of the remaining five wells will be finished up to the next three months.
He said currently two drilling rigs are active in Phase 19 of South Pars gas field adding that according to planning and with regard to proximity of the two Phases 1 and 19 in South Pars joint field, it is expected that 1 billion cubic feet of gas will be produced from one platform of Phase 1 and the other platform of the phase with six producing wells will be delivered to Phase 19.

Javadian added that by delivering one of the platforms of Phase 1 to phase 19 in addition to preserving the defined production of Phase 1 the operation process of offshore section of Phase 19 will be economized to a great deal.

In the refinery of Phase 19 about 57 million cubic meters of combined sour gas, gas condensates, water and other impurities are received from the sea and refined and transferred to the considered products each day.

He said Petropars has four drilling rigs and has the capacity of increasing the figure if projects were available.
