TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Persepolis of Tehran football team defeated Rah Ahan in a penalty shootout and advanced to the quarterfinals of Irans Hazfi Cup.Persepolis qualified for the quarterfinals after a 4-1 penalty shootout over Rah Ahan following a 11 draw in regular time.
The Reds will face Golgohar of Sirjan in the next stage.
Elsewhere, Padideh defeated Gostaresh Foolad 2-1, Tractor Sazi beat Saipa 3-1 in penalty shootout, Sanat Sari defeated Paykan 2-0, Esteghlal Khuzestan lost to Zob Ahan 3-2 and Golgohar defeated Naft Masjed Soleyman 4-2.
