Senior Iranian official off to Vienna

Tehran, Oct 21, IRNA - Director General for Political and International Affairs of Iran's Foreign Ministry Hamid Baidinejad heading a delegation departed for Austrian capital, Vienna, on Tuesday.


 
Experts from Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council, the US, Britain, Russia, France and China, plus Germany are set to resume their negotiations on Wednesday and Thursday over the remaining points of difference in a bid to reach a consensus.


The last round of talks (the 8th round of negotiations) between Iran and G5+1 ended in Vienna on October 16.

The Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton jointly led the negotiations.
