Iranian film Neurasthenia directed by Omid Toutounchi has been selected to contend for awards at the 2014 Hamburg International Film Festival in Germany.Neurasthenia will be displayed at the main competition section as well as the competition section for first and second films of the event.
Toutounchis debut feature film chronicles the story of a 25-year-old man who is suffering from a psychological disorder known as 'Neurasthenia'.
The film is also scheduled to be screened at the30th Warsaw International Film Festival in October.
The Turkish award-winning movie Winter Sleep directed by Nuri Bilge Ceylan has been selected to open this years Hamburg film festival. The film won the 2014 Golden Palm at this years Cannes Film Festival.
Hamburg international film festival is the third largest film festival in Germany, after the Berlin International Film Festival and Filmfest Mnchen.
The 2014 edition of the festival is programmed to take place from September 25 to October 4.
