TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Sepahan of Isfahan suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat against Naft of Tehran at the Takhti Stadium in the Iranian capital on Tuesday evening.Brazilian defender Leandro Padovani gave a lead to Naft in the 33rd minute.
Sepahan was reduced to 10-man just before the halftime. Hossein Moradmand received a red card.
Kamaleddin Kamyabinia scored the second goal in the 45th minute and Ali Ghorbani was on target in the 67th minute.
In Tehrans Azadi Stadium Esteghlal defeated Saipa 3-2 thanks to a brace from Omid Ebrahimi.
Just six minutes into the match, Ebrahim Shakouri scored for Saiap but Karrar Jassim cancelled out his goal in the 33rd minute.
Hamed Shiri put the visiting team ahead once again in the 48th minute from the penalty spot and Omid Ebrahimi equalized the match in the 64th minute. He also scored the winning goal for Esteghlal in the stoppage time.
Furthermore, Foolad defeated Esteghlal of Khuzestan 1-0 in Ahvaz derby thanks to a goal from Yusuf Vakia in the 12th minute.
Padideh saw off Tractor Sazi 1-0, Gostaresh Foolad beat Paykan 1-0, Zob Ahan was held to a 2-2 draw against Rah Ahan and Saba defeated Naft Masjed Soleyman 2-0.
