Mashhad, March 6, IRNA Deputy Foreign Minister for International and Legal Affairs Seyyed Abbas Araqchi underlined that Iran has not given any advantage to the six world powers (the US, Russia, China, France, Britain and Germany) in the recent round of talks in Geneva.

?We did not give any concessions to the West in Geneva talks in the government of wisdom and hope (President Hassan Rouhani?s government),? Araqchi said.

He noted that Iranian team of negotiators made a series of confidence-building measures for the sake of dignity and independence of the Iranian nation, and added that the confidence-building included a series of restrictions in nuclear activities and intensification of the supervisions by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) .

Asked about the continuation of negotiations given the recent statements of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei with regard to lack of trust in the West, Araqchi said, ?The Supreme Leader has several times said that ?we are not optimistic towards the westerners and we attend the negotiations with pessimism, but the talks should continue and the Foreign Ministry should act according to its duties? in this regard.?
