Commander hails IRGC navy as Irans upper-hand in Persian Gulf

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy commander said his forces outstanding capabilities are deemed to bethe countrys upper-hand in the military sphere across the Persian Gulf region.
The force (the IRGC Navy) is Irans military upper-hand in surface, subsurface and the air across the Persian Gulf, Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi said, addressing a gathering of military forces in Irans southern port of Bandar Abbas on Friday.

Our intelligence supremacy and operational capability have frightened the existing aliens in the Persian Gulf today, the commander added.

Praising the IRGC Navys high deterrent power along the countrys water boundaries, Rear Admiral Fadavi added, Today, the regional and trans-regional countries consider the Islamic Republic of Iran as the major security provider in the Persian Gulf.

In relevant remarks earlier this month, the commander had announced that the American forces' moves are being closely monitored all over the Middle East region and beyond it.

"We are monitoring Americans all around the Middle East region, West of the Europe, Persian Gulf, Oman Sea and the Strait of Hormouz," he said at the time.

There is no place in the region where the Americans can hide, he added.

Fadavi had underlined that the IRGC Navy keeps an eye on all enemy movements at sea.

Having realized the Islamic Republic of Irans deterrent power, the United States officially altered its maritime strategy, the senior commander said, highlighting the IRCG Navys vessels, missiles, air force, commando and drone capabilities.

Iran is now the main power providing security in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, ensuring the safe passage of energy supplies through the strategic region.
