Navy commander: No country will be allowed to violate Iranian territorial waters

Anzali, Feb 20, IRNA - Navy Commander Rear-Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said on Thursday that the Iranian Navy never lets anyone violate the Iranian territorial waters.
Speaking to reporters, he said foreign countries are now present in free seas but Iran never let them enter Iranian territorial waters.

Elaborating on Iranian Navy?s overseas expeditions, the Navy commander said that Iranian Navy fleet are operating in free seas.

?We are not to violate the territorial waters of other countries and Iranian Navy warships are operating in the free seas,? he said.

Sayyari said that operation of Iranian Navy fleet in the free seas indicates strong might of the great Iranian nation.

Davavand new destroyer will join Iran?s Navy fleet in the open seas soon, said the commander.

It is among our plans to conduct war games at Open Seas to improve combat readiness of the Iranian Navy, he said.

For a country which suffered 35 years of economic sanctions, manufacturing destroyers, submarines and active presence at international waters are great victory, he said.
