Iran, Powers to meet in New York for final step

TEHRAN, Jan. 27 (MNA) Iran and Powers will meet in New York for the final round of nuclear talks in mid February.


Javad Zarif told reporters after his meeting with Catherine Ashton in the sidelines of Davos Economic Forum in Switzerland that Iran and six nations would meet in mid February to discuss the final step in series of nuclear negotiations in New York. The Geneva deal Joint Plan of Action has been implemented beginning in January 20 and both sides would come to negotiation table again for the so-called final stage.

There are speculations in the media that Iranian negotiating team would be that in Geneva, with Zarif heading Iranian sides, and Ashton leading Powers, with six deputy FMs participating in the negotiations.

Iran and Powers first round was held in the sidelines of the UN annual Summit in last September, which was the 11thCabinets first such negotiation bid.
