Iran would not recognize Israel

TEHRAN, Dec. 10 (MNA) Irans FM spokeswoman has said no significant change has been wrought in Islamic Republic of Irans official policy of not recognizing Israel.
Mehr News quoted Marzieh Afkham in her weekly press conference. Asked about Irans reaction to Wendy Sherman and Barack Obamas remarks on Irans right to enrichment, Afkham told that the ministry has been looking into remarks by US officials and along with that, the US domestic policies.

What is evident is that there has been a conflict of interests and they [US] have worked to mislead the developments achieved so far, Afkham told reporters. The US officials would say irrelevant staff, but the major issue was accepting Irans right to enrichment, which of course found no coverage in media propaganda space. They admitted that sanctions had led to nothing, she added.

Afkham pointed out that sanctions had really gone nowhere. The Islamic Republic of Iran had assumed a track of negotiations to secure Irans national rights, and it would exhaust any diplomatic capabilities in the path forward, she said.

Asked when the Genve joint Action Plan implementation would begin, Afkham would told that the ministry assumed that it would be following expert-level meeting in Vienna. The precise evaluation of the joint Action Plan would be following this round and if necessary future expert meetings, she said.

In response to a question about the remarks by the chief of foreign ministry political office who said Genve joint Action Plan had been implemented, Afkham told reporters that Iran and Powers began negotiations on Monday in Vienna. They should assess the opinions made by both sides to find what measures would be taken to implement the Action Plan, she asserted.

The IAEA visit to Iran is in line with previous agreements between the Agency and Iran. The IAEA also would have experts in the negotiations in Vienna as observers, Afkham said.

Asked about a demand by Shimon Peres the Israeli prime minister that he and Rouhani meet, Afkham told that no change had been made to the Islamic Republic of Irans official policy of not recognizing Israel.

Our positions on the expansionist, occupier, and illegitimate regime of Israel are evident. They have occupied the Palestine, said Afkham, adding that their propaganda in an attempt to escape isolation is aborted, since they have tried to influence the mentality of other nations in the region about Iran.
