British MP George Galloway says Israels nuclear weapons must be destroyed in order to achieve peace in the Middle East.The Respect Party parliamentarian made the remarks in an interview with Press TV on Tuesday night.

It is illegally holding hundreds of nuclear weapons which have never been inspected, which are subject to no treaty, Galloway said.
Israel refuses even to confirm that it might be true that it is a nuclear weapons power. So, the demand will grow for the nuclear-weapons-free Middle East and that requires the destruction of Israels nuclear weapons armory, he added.
Most experts estimate that Israel about 200 nuclear warheads, largely based on information leaked to theSunday Timesnewspaper in the 1980s by Vanunu, a former worker at the Israel's Dimona nuclear reactor.
Israel, which has started several wars in the region in its 65-year history of occupation, maintains a policy of deliberate ambiguity over its nuclear weapons program and does not allow international inspectors to visit its nuclear sites.
