AMMAN, Nov. 25 (Xinhua) -- Jordan's Minister of State for Media Affairs Mohammad Momani said Monday the deal reached betweenIranand world powers in Geneva is a step in the right direction, the state-run Petra news agency reported.The minister said steps should be taken to build on the deal. " Jordan is awaiting for details about practical steps that will be taken to implement the deal and reach a comprehensive agreement on Iran's nuclear program," he noted.
He expressed hope that the deal will enhance the international community's effort in making regional and international peace and preserve the security and stability in the Middle East.
Iran and the P5+1, namely theUnited States, Britain,France,Russiaand China plusGermany, announced they have reached a deal early Sunday morning after five days of marathon talks in Geneva.
The United States and its allies will afford Iran with limited relief of sanctions on its oil, gold, petrochemicals, auto industries and civil aviation with an estimated value of about 7 billion U.S. dollars under the terms of the six-month nuclear deal.
In exchange, Iran agreed to halt uranium enrichment above 5 percent and neutralizing its stockpile of near-20 percent uranium by means of dilution or converting.
