US ambassador condemns Beirut terrorist bmbings against Iranian Embassy

Beirut, Nov 19, IRNA US ambassador to Lebanon David Hale denounced terrorist bombings against Iranian Embassy in Beirut on Tuesday.
After a meeting with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, the US ambassador sympathized with the families of the victims and those wounded in the blasts.

The United States condemns any kind of terrorist operations in Lebanon, he said, calling on all groups to exercise restraint.

Hale urged Lebanese officials to launch a widespread investigation into terror to track down and prosecute the culprits.

In twin explosions targeting Iranian embassy in Beirut 23 were killed, including Iranian cultural attach in Lebanon Hojatoleslam Ebrahim Ansari, with 146 others wounded.

Al-Qaeda affiliated Abdullah Azzam Salafi terrorist group has claimed responsibility for Tuesdays terrorist operations, but Iranian ambassador to Lebanon Ghazanfar Roknabadi accuses Israel of having a hand in the terror.
