Turkish FM condemns Beirut blasts
Turkish Foreign Ministry has condemned the Beirut twin bombings which killed at least 32 people, including the Iranian cultural attach, and injured dozens on Tuesday.
"We condemn the bomb attacks which targeted Iranian Embassy in Beirut and extend our condolences to Iran whose diplomatic mission was exposed to such an attack" said the statement issued by the ministry.

At least 32 people, including the Iranian cultural attach, were killed and dozens injured in twin bombings targeting the Iranian embassy in Beirut.

But the Lebanese Health Ministry said that 23 people were killed and 147 others injured in the explosions.

An al-Qaeda affiliate has claimed responsibility for the attacks, which left several nearby buildings and vehicles damaged.

UN Security Council condemns the bombing of Iran's embassy in Beirut

The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) strongly condemned the terrorist attacks against the Irans embassy in Beirut, on Tuesday, that killed at least 23 people and wounded more than 140, president of the Council for the month of November Chinese ambassador Liu Jieyi, said reading just unanimously adopted statement.

Condemning the latest Beiruts bombing for which the responsibility has been claimed by an al-Qaeda-linked group, the UNSC reaffirmed that terrorism in all its forms and manifestations constitutes one of the most serious threats to international peace and security, and that any act of terrorism is criminal and unjustifiable, regardless of their motivation, wherever, whenever and by whomsoever committed.

Security Council stressed the need to combat terrorism by all means, in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations and all obligations under international law.

UNSC also stressed the importance to bring the perpetrators of this terrorist atack in Lebanon to justice.

Council also reminded on the principle of the inviolability of diplomatic and consular premises, and the obligations on host governments, including under the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and the 1963 Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, to take all appropriate steps to protect diplomatic and consular premises and to prevent any attack on them, their agents and consular officers.

The UNSC statement on Tuesday also reminded that on July 10, 2013, Security Council appealed to all Lebanese people to preserve national unity and stressed the importance for all Lebanese parties to respect Lebanons policy of disassociation and to refrain from any involvement in the Syrian crisis.
