Tehran, Nov 20, IRNA President Hassan Rouhani in a phone conversation with British Prime Minister David Cameron stressed that Iran will never yield to discrimination.During the dialogue which took place Tuesday evening, the two politicians discussed the latest developments relating to the nuclear talks between Iran and the 5+1 as well as bilateral ties.
President Rouhani pointed to the international developments following the recent presidential elections in Iran and said that the two countries should mobilize their political will to open a new window to the world in a bid to solve the existing problems in the global arena.
As to the positive steps taken regarding the nuclear negotiations in Geneva relying on long-term strategies in the preliminary phases of talks, he stressed that sabotages by certain countries should not influence the win-win process of Irans effective measures.
He noted that Iran expected other parties in the talks to manifest their firm will, underlining the need to replace the language of threats and sanctions with that of respect.
President Rouhani reiterated that Iran has never been after developing weapons of mass destruction or neglecting the international regulations as it is a victim of mass killing weapons.
That is why the government is determined to pursue its peaceful nuclear activities while safeguarding the nations nuclear rights, the Iranian President added.
The President further voiced Irans readiness to enter talks in an equal basis and hoped the outcome of the talks could bring stability and security to the sensitive Middle East region.
The British Premier, for his part, voiced happiness over the new developments occurring in the process of Geneva talks and the very positive wave of confidence-building attempts and said that his government believed in the necessity of mutual respect in talks.
He hoped the upcoming talks in Geneva would be of positive outcome.
Cameron also expressed condolences on behalf of the British government over the terrorist bomb blasts in front of the Iranian embassy in Beirut and condemned targeting civilians as unjustifiable.
Rouhani said in response that all should worry about expansion of terrorism in the world especially in the Middle East.
The Iranian President and the British PM also discussed situation in Syria.
