Beijing to play constructive role in Iran talks: China FM

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman, Hong Lei, says his country will continue to play a positive role in the upcoming nuclear negotiations between Iran and six world powers.
China will continue to play a constructive role in pushing ahead with the talks to achieve a sound result, Hong said on Tuesday.

He expressed hope that the participants in the talks will seek common ground while reserving differences and create favorable conditions to resolve Irans nuclear issue.
Thanks to political willingness displayed by various parties, we can see talks over Iranian nuclear issue are progressing with sound momentum, said Hong.
The spokesman also said China will be represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Li Baodong in two days of talks.

Earlier in the day, Iran Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Marzieh Afkham expressed hope that Irans nuclear talks with the group of six world powers would result in the removal of sanctions against Tehran.

Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany will resume their next round of talks in Geneva on Wednesday under intense lobbying effort and pressures by Israel to prevent a deal between Iran and the six world powers.

Tel Aviv has demanded that Iran dismantle its entire nuclear energy program in return for the removal of sanctions which have been imposed against the country. This comes as Israel is said to be the sole possessor of nuclear weapons in the Middle East with 200-400 nuclear warheads.

During the last round of talks in Geneva, a first-step agreement was within reach but the position taken by French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius in favor of the Israeli regime and a lack of commitment by US Secretary of State John Kerry spoiled the negotiations.
