Sextet had no joint document in Geneva: Lavrov

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov says the six major world powers did not draw up any joint document during the latest round of talks with Iran over Tehrans nuclear energy program.
This time, the P5+1 group (the United States, China, Russia, France and Britain plus Germany) did not formulate any joint document. There was an American-proposed draft. We vigorously supported this draft. If this document had been supported by all (members of the P5+1), it would have already been adopted, Interfax news agency quoted Lavrov as saying at a press conference in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, on Thursday.
The American-proposed document and the amendments to it remain on the table. We will debate all of them at the level of political directors later, Lavrov noted, adding, As you know, this meeting has been set for November 20. The outcome of this meeting will become clear after the meeting has been held."
I hope that all the sides will show their understanding concerning the agreements that already exist, as well as the need to treat them as agreements rather than some documents that will not be collective, the Russian foreign minister pointed out.

Iran and the six powers could not reach a deal over Tehrans nuclear energy program during the Geneva talks, but the two sides said significant progress had been made and expressed optimism about the prospect of achieving a deal.

The next round of talks between Iran and the six powers is also due to be held in Geneva.
