Quake hits western Iran near Iraq border

Tehran, Nov 5, IRNA A mild tremor measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale shook Qasr-e Shirin in the western province of Kermanshah and close to Irans joint borderline with Iraq Tuesday morning.


 
According to seismological base of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the quake occurred at 07:33 hours local time (0403 GMT).


The quake was epicentered in an area located at 34.09 degrees latitude and 45.08 degrees longitude.

There is no report on any damage caused by the quake.
