Iran designs nano-drug for anti-inflammatory, heart diseases

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian researchers have designed curcumin (original extract of turmeric) nano-drug at Mashhad Medical Sciences University which is to be mass produced in next three months.
The most important biologic effects of curcumin are its anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor and anti-oxidant effects.

The nano-drug structure of the extract is produced in less dose and will be taken in by the body more comparing to other medicines.

The drug can be used in treatment of wounds, diabetes, alzheimer, parkinson, cardiovascular disease, microbial diseases, pulmonary and arthritis.

The curcumin prevents formation of blood cloths, lowers cholesterol and improves performance of liver and the GL.

It is expected that the drug would be mass produced in next three months.
