TEHRAN Oct 27 (Shana): A senior official of National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) said on Sunday that fluctuations in Irans crude oil exports are due to processing in the refineries of the countries of destination.Irans crude oil exports to [our] customers vary in different reasons due to climate conditions. To that effect, the refineries demand different amounts of crude oil from Iran, Mohsen Qamsari, director for international affairs of NIOC, told Shana.
He added that it was natural to see changes in Irans crude oil exports. No change has occurred in Irans crude oil exports and in November, the exports will be as usual, he said.
Any increase or decline in the exports is calculated based on the annual average and not monthly average because changes in oil exports due to operational issues in different months is natural, said Qamsari.
Following the recent nuclear talks held in Geneva between Iran and six world powers, analysts and oil traders predict that sanctions against Iran would be lifted on Irans oil.
An improvement in relations between Iran and the United States is expected to enhance Irans oil supply on the world markets y around 800,000 b/d, leading to lower prices.
