President Rouhani expressed the hope that Iran and Cuba would further broaden their relations during the tenure of the new Cuban ambassador to Tehran, and said, Iran and Cuba can play an important role in international organizations, including the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), through their cooperation.

The Cuban ambassador, for his part, underlined the importance of Tehran-Havana ties, and said, My mission in Iran is to further expand and strengthen the bilateral ties.
