TEHRAN (ISNA)- The most advanced optical telescope of the Middle East is being designed in Iran, said Manager of Development Plan of Iran's National Observatory Sepehr Arbabi.
He said the diameter of mirror of the telescope (INO340) is 3.40 centimeter, which is the most advanced one of the Middle East and is being designed in Iran.

The telescope is being designed with the help of European experts and Iranian researchers, Arbabi said, adding that conceptual design of the project has been over and its detail design has started.

The telescope is a middle class and would be the most advanced telescope in Iran and the Middle East.
