Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has congratulated Iranians on the Islamic Republics national volleyball teams championship in Asian games.
On Sunday, Rouhani expressed gratitude to the Iranian v-ballers for their victory against South Korea at the 2013 Asian Mens Volleyball Championship earlier in the day.
The Iranian president stated that the championship, which created a wave of pride and joy, for the Iranian nation, is a symbol of endeavor and hope, for a better future.
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei also expressed gratitude to the Iranian volleyball players for the victory.

About 3,000 Iranian spectators were present at the complex, creating a home-like atmosphere for the guests.
The title here has a special place in our hearts. My team played to their potential, said the Argentine head coach after the encounter.
Twenty-four teams originally participated in the tournament. However, since Jordan, Indonesia, and Pakistan pulled out of the tourney, the number was reduced to 21, which forced the authorities to make adjustments in the pools composition.

In another match of the day, China beat Japan 3-1 (25-18, 25-22, 22-25, and 25-20) to stand third at the tournament.

The Asian games kicked off in Dubai on September 28 and wrapped up on October 6.
