TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian researchers have designed a new device which counts cells with speed 10 times more than previous versions for the first time in the country.
The stereology built by artificial intelligence is capable of identifying and counting parts of different tissues automatically and without human interference.
This is the first time that the device has been built in Iran. The cells have already been counted by eyes which was not precise enough, while the new one boosts both speed and precision. Counting cells is required for blood and marrow tests for detecting diseases.
The device is used for all tissues and works technically because it uses artificial intelligence. It can be trained to count and identify cells in different tissues.
The newly-developed system facilitates presenting results of the tests with more precision which paves the way for treatment. It costs one fifths of the foreign version.
