Geneva talks without Iran, failure- Syrian official

Damascus, Oct 7, IRNA Head of Syrias National Youth Party for Justice and Development said Monday that Geneva talks without Irans presence will be a meer failure.
In an exclusive interview with IRNA, Parvin Ebrahim referred to Iran as a regional power and supporter of the Syrian nation.

She stressed Irans influential role in resolving the Syrian crisis.

Ebrahim, who is an opponent of the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, said her party believes in peaceful settlement of the Syrian crisis.

The Iranian officials, she said, have always insisted on diplomatic solutions to the crisis.

Iran, from the very start of the conflicts in Syria, has condemned foreign meddling in the internal affairs of the country, she reiterated, noting that Tehran has always respected the decisions taken by the Syrian nation.

She repeated that the Geneva talks will not be fruitful without Irans participation.

As to the situation in Syria, she said all opposition groups condemn massacre, bloodshed, conflicts and crimes being committed by armed forces and terrorist groups.

Those who fan the flames of the Syrian conflict by arming terrorists aim to fully destroy the country, she added.
