World tourism week celebrated in Tehrans Milad tower
A ceremony celebrating World Tourism Day has been held in the Iranian capital of Tehrans Milad tower,Press TVhas reported.
Head of Irans Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Organization (CHTHO) Mohammad Ali Najafi along with a number of cultural officials and scholars attended the gala.

While various traditions and local customs and artifacts were being showcased at the event, Irans ethnic biodiversity, culture and history presented to the audience.

As Iran is planning to expand its tourism and attract the worlds people to the country with rich history and culture, the visa process will be facilitated for those who are keen to visit, Mohammad Ali Najafi said.

Iran which enjoys a brilliant civilization, hospitable people, a rich cultural heritage and a diverse, beautiful landscape and climate is ready to welcome tourists, said the Iranian president Hassan Rouhani in a tourism conference on Sunday.

Iranians society is one of the most vibrant and diverse societies in the Middle East that is interesting for the lovers of history and ethnic variety.

Naqsh-e Jahan Square, Armenian monastic ensembles of Iran, Bam and its cultural landscape, Bisotoun, Pasargadae, Persepolis, Sheikh Safi al-din shrine, Shoushtar historical hydraulic system, Soltaniyeh, Tabriz historic bazaar complex, Takht-e Soleiman, Tchogha Zanbil and the Persian garden are among the Iranian historical heritage inscribed on UNESCOs World Heritage List.

Many people around the globe annually celebrate World Tourism Day, registered on September 27.

The day aims to foster awareness among the international community of the importance of tourism and its social, cultural, political and economic values.
