TEHRAN Sep 16 (Shana): Under its schedule for this Iranian calendar year to March 2014, Parsian gas processing plant is tasked to produce 25.6 billion cubic meters of gas and 10.5 million barrels of gas condensate.
Managing director of Parsian gas processing plant Hosain Norozi made the remarks in an interview with Shana adding Parsian as the third largest gas processing facility in the country produces 82 million cubic meters of gas per day or 17 percent of daily gas consumption in the country.


Norozi said Tabnak, Shanol, Varavi and Home, with a high level of ethane, butane and propane, are the main gas fields feeding Parsian gas processing plant. He added with regard to these specifications, the plant has decided to establish the related facilities for separating natural gas from gas condensate to produce more valuable products including ethane, propane, butane and natural gasoline. �


According to Norozi, Parsian gas processing plant has also established a self-sufficiency committee which aims at creating competitive space for domestic manufacturers, preventing monopoly, implementation of a conclusive program for manufacturing spare parts, speeding up the process of providing parts and reducing the cost of their production and finally advancement of self sufficiency movement. �


He further said replacing some old valves, construction of a 6-inch pipeline for transferring of liquids, launching a platform for loading gas condensate and installation of a metering system along the fuel consumption system of the plant are among the other programs Parsian plant plans to implement this year.


The feedstock Parsian gas processing plant takes from the above mentioned gas fields is classified as sweet so the plant needs no sweetening facilities which brings down the cost of processing considerably.�
