Iran seeks to ease sanctions via global interaction: 1st VP

Irans First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri says the new administration seeks to ease US-engineered sanctions against the Islamic Republic through interaction with the world.
The 11th administration is trying to relax sanctions through interaction with the world while fully protecting the rights of the Iranian nation, Jahangiri said during a ceremony to introduce Ali Tayyeb-Nia as the new Minister of Economy on Tuesday.

He emphasized that the administration of President Hassan Rouhani will try to bring a halt to imposition of more cruel sanctions against the country while safeguarding the achievements of the Islamic establishment.
Iran is an important country in the region and is facing conditions in which the entire region has plunged into serious unrest and hostility and cruel sanctions have been slapped on the Iranian nation, he said.
When the world does not want to change its approach [to Iran], we should benefit from our experts to get around sanctions, Jahangiri said.

The US, Israel and some of their allies falsely claim that Iran is pursuing non-civilian objectives in its nuclear energy program, with Washington and the European Union using the unfounded allegation as a pretext to impose illegal sanctions on Iran.

Iran vehemently rejects the groundless claim over its nuclear energy activities, maintaining that as a committed signatory to the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), it has the right to use nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
