Chinese, Iranian women discuss domestic education, cultural inheritance
More than 50 representatives from China and Iran discussed women's roles in domestic education and cultural inheritance at the Sino-Iran Women's Symposium in Beijing on July 16, 2013.
The symposium was jointly organized by the International Liaison Department of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) and the Iranian embassy in China.

Vice President and Member of the Secretariat of the ACWF Meng Xiaosi met with experts, officials and scholars from Iran including President of Islamic Association of Women Tayebeh Mahrou Zadeh.

Member of the Secretariat of the ACWF Cui Yu reviewed Sino-Iran exchanges and cooperation and Deputy Researcher of Women's Studies Institute of China Du Jie introduced the current situation of women's participation in education, employment, political affairs, health, marriage and family. Director of the ACWF's Development Department and Secretary General of theAll-China Women's Hand-knitting AssociationCui Weiyan talked about Chinese women's entrepreneurship and introduced the current programs launched by the All-China Women's Hand-knitting Association to promote women's employment and entrepreneurship.

Cultural Counselor of the Embassy of Iran in China Hossein Jalivand and representatives Sayedeh Sedigheh Hejazi and Fatemeh Rahbar discussed the measures that Iran has taken to encourage women to participate in domestic education and cultural inheritance.
