Maliki
Baghdad (AIN) The office of the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, denied the accusations of the former US General to Iraq, George Casey, over the involvement of Iran in bombing the holy shrine of Imam Hassan al-Askari in Samara.
Maliki's office stated in a press statement received by AIN "Casey stated in a special ceremony for the Khalq Organization that opposes the Iranian regime in Paris claiming that Maliki informed him that the leader of the Iranian Quds Brigade is behind bombing the holy shrine of Imam Hassan al-Askari where he also claimed that he has evidence of the involvement of Iran in this bombing."

"Maliki denied Casey's statements and we assure that the investigations over this bombing approved that al-Qaeda Terrorist Organization is behind this bombing in addition to issuing a statement by al-Qaeda itself adopting this bombing," the statement added.

"Maliki's office calls the USA to make its officials in Iraq not to neglect honesty and profession in discussing any issues," the statement concluded.
