An Iranian official has accused the United Nations special rapporteur on human rights in the Islamic Republic of receiving bribes from the United States, a news agency reported on Friday.
In a report last month, the investigator Ahmed Shaheed said Iran had failed to investigate widespread, systemic and systematic violations of human rights and urged Tehran to immediately release detained human rights advocates, journalists and lawyers.
Irans Ahmadinejad criticized over Chavez remarks
Senior Iranian clerics have criticized President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for saying Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez will be resurrected alongside Jesus Christ and the hidden imam who Shiite Muslims believe will rise up to bring world peace.
Iran declared a day of national mourning on Wednesday after the death of Chavez, who shared the Islamic Republics loathing for what they both called U.S. imperialism.
France, Israel call for tougher sanctions against Iran
French President Francois Hollande and President of the Israeli regime Shimon Peres say sanctions on Iran over its nuclear energy program are biting but stress the importance of imposing tougher restrictions on Tehran.

Irans Army to test-fire 3 new indigenous missiles
The Iranian Armys Ground Forces plan to test-fire three types of new indigenous missiles during an upcoming military drill which will probably be conducted by the end of the current Persian calendar year (ending on March 20, 2013).
The missiles which have undergone lab tests will be test-fired during the planned maneuver, said Deputy Commander of the Iranian Armys Ground Forces Brigadier General Kiomars Heidari in a Saturday interview.
